Marion, TX

Marion is a small Guadalupe County city on FM 78, about halfway between San Antonio and Seguin. The road runs through the center of town, with San Antonio west and the county seat east, so Marion's everyday map is built around a highway, school, and a few dependable local businesses. The town was named for Marion Dove, whose grandfather Joshua W. Young owned a plantation crossed by the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway in 1877. Marion was incorporated by 1941.
