Mebane, NC

Mebane is a growing city split between Alamance and Orange counties, between Greensboro and the Research Triangle. Incorporated as Mebanesville in 1881, it has older rail-town roots but has become increasingly shaped by I-40/I-85 access and regional growth. Downtown Mebane has shops, restaurants, and antique stores, while the surrounding area includes newer neighborhoods and outlet shopping. It feels like a small North Carolina city being pulled in two directions: historic main street on one side, fast metro growth on the other.
