About Middlebury

Middlebury is a historic census-designated place and the primary settlement in the town of Middlebury, Addison County, Vermont. Developed around a waterfall on Otter Creek in the Frog Hollow area, the village has preserved its nineteenth-century industrial history, with most of the community listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The town is home to Middlebury College, which lies just southwest of the historic district.
