Mulhall, OK

Located about 13 miles north of Guthrie along U.S. 77, Mulhall is a quiet rural community with deep roots in Oklahoma's frontier days. It started as a railroad stop after the 1889 Land Run before taking the name of local rancher and Wild West promoter Zack Mulhall. Over the years, it grew into a steady farming community, and that calm, agricultural backdrop still defines daily life around town today.

The area's biggest claim to fame is Zack’s daughter, Lucille Mulhall, widely remembered as one of the country's first true cowgirls for her roping and riding skills in turn-of-the-century Wild West shows. Neighbors still celebrate that heritage each year during the annual Mulhall Day festival. Today, families appreciate the small class sizes at the local elementary school, part of the Mulhall-Orlando district, along with plenty of open space. It offers a relaxed country pace with straightforward drives to Guthrie and Stillwater for work, dining, and weekend errands.
