About Northfield

Northfield is a census-designated place within the town of the same name in Vermont. The 2020 census counted 3,757 residents and 1,163 housing units in the CDP, distinct from the town's 5,918 residents. The former Village of Northfield and the surrounding town merged on July 1, 2014, creating one municipal government. Norwich University, founded in 1819, is based on Harmon Drive in Northfield.
