Ravenwood is a city in eastern Nodaway County, Missouri, United States, near the Platte River. The 2020 census counted 439 residents. The community has the name of the original owner of the land where the village now stands. Ravenwood is located on Missouri Route 46 just north of the junction with US Route 136. The short version is that Ravenwood carries an earlier story into the places people know and use now. That is the local read on Ravenwood: its past remains attached to the places people use now. Maryville is approximately ten miles to the west on Route 136 and Parnell is six miles to the northeast on Route 46. Ravenwood includes the Platte River.
