Reserve, LA

Reserve is a quiet riverfront community on the east bank of the Mississippi River in St. John the Baptist Parish. Home to around 8,500 residents, it sits roughly halfway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The town grew around the historic Godchaux sugar refinery in the late 1800s, and those agricultural roots are still visible today. Historic plantation homes, local churches, and open sugarcane fields line the scenic River Road corridor, giving the area a distinctly rural Louisiana character.
