About Rexford

Home to fewer than a hundred residents, Rexford is a tiny, close-knit community in northwest Montana with an unusual backstory. The original settlement was submerged in the 1970s when the construction of Libby Dam flooded the valley to create Lake Koocanusa. The town simply rebuilt on higher ground along Montana Highway 37, just a short drive south of Eureka.
