About Riverdale

Riverdale is a suburban city in Clayton County, Georgia, located twelve miles south of downtown Atlanta. Positioned immediately south of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the community of approximately 14,800 was originally established in 1886 with the expansion of the regional railroad. Public education for local students is administered by the Clayton County Public Schools district, and the city features several municipal parks.
