Sour John is a census-designated place in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The 2020 census counted 71 residents. Sour John is in eastern Muskogee County, bordered to the northwest by Greenleaf Lake, to the south by Oklahoma State Highway 10, and to the east by Sequoyah and Cherokee counties.
