Tioga, TX

Tioga is a quiet, close-knit town of around 1,100 people in Grayson County, situated along Highway 377 about 20 miles southwest of Sherman. Founded as a railroad stop in 1881, the community quickly boomed into a popular mineral water resort where visitors traveled from all over for curative baths and fresh spring water. Today, the town preserves a relaxed, rural atmosphere with wide-open skies, historic brick storefronts, and deep roots as the birthplace of country music icon Gene Autry.
