Twin Grove, IL

Twin Grove is an unincorporated McLean County community and census-designated place along Illinois Route 9, about five miles west of Bloomington, the county seat. The 2020 census counted 1,524 residents. Its location puts it close to the county seat while keeping the community's roads, homes, and farm edges tied to the western side of the county. The name describes the local landscape more directly than any municipal boundary: this is a named settlement spread along a rural highway corridor. Twin Grove is split between two school districts, with the western portion in Olympia Community Unit School District 16 and the eastern portion in McLean County Unit 5.
