About Wanship

Wanship is a quiet mountain community tucked into the hills of Summit County where Silver Creek meets the Weber River. Situated right near the junction of Interstate 80 and State Route 32, it offers an easy balance of peaceful open space and convenient travel. Residents are only about ten minutes from Coalville, twenty minutes from Park City, and around forty minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.

Wanship Barn Museum

Originally established in the 1850s as a stage and railroad junction, Wanship has held onto its relaxed rural character. Outdoor recreation is right out the front door, with Rockport Reservoir just down the road for boating and fishing, and the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail running through the valley for walking and cycling.
