West Yellowstone, MT

Sitting right at the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, West Yellowstone is a high-elevation mountain town with a year-round population of around 1,300 residents. The community grew out of an early 1900s railroad stop, and historic stone depot buildings still give the center of town a classic frontier charm. Located at 6,660 feet in southwest Montana, it offers small-town living with immediate access to public lands, outdoor recreation, and a small regional airport just north of town.
