Winfield, PA

Winfield is a Union County census-designated place at the meeting of Pennsylvania 304 and U.S. 15, along the West Branch Susquehanna River. The river was a travel route into central Pennsylvania, and Winfield still reads as a road-and-water place: the highway junction sits beside the river corridor, with Union Township stretching around it. The community is in the Lewisburg Area School District. Winfield is central Pennsylvania without much fuss—a small place pinned between Route 15, a state road, and the West Branch.
